Our Favorite Products

Items we feel are essential to have in a healthy kitchen:

Pantry Items:

  • whole wheat flour
  • oats
  • spices: tumeric, cumin, cinnamon, cayenne, ginger, pepper, salt, thyme, rosemary, sage, nutmeg
  • yeast
  • vital wheat gluten
  • beans (all varieties either dried or canned)
  • canned tomatoes 
  • brown rice
  • lentils
  • honey
  • maple syrup
  • Agave nectar
  • coconut oil
  • canned pumpkin
  • Raw Cacao powder or cocoa powder
  • tomato paste (in tube is best for reuse)

Perishable Items:

  • onions
  • garlic
  • greens, all kinds
  • in-season fruits and veggies
  • carrots
  • ginger (can be frozen)

Tools:

1) Stick Blender: we use a Cuisinart Stick Blender

    Great for:
  • pureeing soups and sauces
2) Food Processor (a must for shredding veggies): We use a Cuisinart

3) Vitamix: this is our favorite blender.  It's expensive, but can grind up whole foods so you can get the 
     maximum amount of vitamins (peels included). Absolutely awesome for smoothies, vegan ice creams, 
     soups, etc.  Comes with a cookbook as well.

3) Dehydrator, we use a Nesco but would recommend an Excalibur if you're serious about dehydrating foods.
